Wise Words Wednesday

Today's Wise Words Wednesday is from Ishbel Moore

Another tip I use often, but cannot attribute to any particular source, but is something I have come to understand and live by is:
Just write the story; get it out of your head. We can always fix/edit it later. Reworking and reworking chapter one will never get you to chapter twenty one.

What are your thoughts on this wise writing tip?

  1. HI: this is an excellent comment and so true. It is very easy to keep going over and over what is already written and not get on with creating the rest of the story. Rewriting is always waiting for you, to add, tweak, and cut, and it sure seems a huge part of the process once the manuscript is finished.
